Lantana flowers always remind me of my trip to Kodaikanal hills in southern India. Lantanas of so many different colors were everywhere by the roadside, swarmed by a special kind of butterfly. They were black with red and white spots on them. We used to call them DMK butterflies because of the colors, which represented a political party by the same name.
